Dr. Bruce Wright
Dr. Wright obtained his medical degree at the University of Calgary in 1987 and completed training in Family Medicine at the University of Calgary in 1989.
He started his career at the University of Calgary in 1990 as a clinical lecturer. Prior to pursuing medicine Dr. Wright obtained his Master’s of Political Economy from the University of Toronto. In 1993 he joined the University of Calgary full time as an Assistant Professor. He became the Program Director of the Family Medicine Program in 1998.
In 2006 he became the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education. In 2007 he was appointed a Master Teacher in the Faculty of Medicine.
Aside from his interest in Seniors Health, which he has had since graduation, he is also involved in medical education and is proud of his many teaching awards, including the CAME certificate of Merit and the McLeod Award for Education Excellence from the Faculty of Medicine.
