Dr. David Hogan was selected as the 2010 Royal College Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) 1 Prix d'excellence recipient for our region. This award recognizes his long standing commitment to the health and well-being of individuals and society through ethical practice, profession-led regulation and high personal standards of behaviour.
Dr. John Conly is the recipient of the 2011 Canadian Foundation for Infectious Diseases Dr. John M. Embil Mentorship Award in Infectious Diseases. This award is given each year to a member of the Association of Medical Microbiologists and Infectious Diseases Canada who has inspired interest and excitement in the field of Infectious Diseases. Recipients of this award have demonstrated exceptional leadership and have distinguished themselves by being outstanding role models and mentors for trainees in the field of Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Christopher Mody who has been elected into the prestigious Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS). He will be inducted into the Academy at the CAHS Annual General Meeting in Ottawa in September 2011. The CAHS recognizes individuals of great accomplishment and achievement in the academic health sciences in Canada. The Academy provides timely, informed and unbiased assessments of urgent issues affecting the health of Canadians. The five inductees represent some of the Faculty of Medicine's finest leaders and researchers.
