Dr. Angel Chu
joined the Division of Infectious Diseases as a Clinical Scholar in July 2011. Dr.
Chu received her Medical Degree from the University of Alberta (U of A). She then completed her
residencies in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Calgary (U of C). Her
scholarly and clinical interest is Sexually Transmitted Infections.
Dr. Anthea Peters
joined the Division of Hematology as a Clinical Scholar in July 2011. Dr. Peters
is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. This was followed by residencies in Internal
Medicine at the U of A and Hematology at the U of C. Her area of interest is in lymphoma.
Dr. Erika Penz
joined the Division of Respirology as a Clinical Scholar in August 2011. Dr. Penz is
a graduate of McMaster Medical School. She completed her residencies in Internal Medicine and
Respirology at the U of C. Dr. Penz also has a MSc in Health Policy and Management from
Harvard School of Public Health. Her area of interest is in health economics and health policy. She
is presently doing a research fellowship at York University in the United Kingdom to pursue further
training in these areas.
Dr. Lynn Lambert
moved from the University of Birmingham, England to join the Division of
General Internal Medicine in September 2011. She trained in Internal Medicine and General
Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom and holds a PhD in Pharmacology. Dr. Lambert has an
interest in Geriatrics and Stroke Medicine. She also developed the Medical Assessment and
Admission Unit (MAU) at Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, England. Her experience developing the
MAU will be valuable in implementing and evaluating similar units in Calgary.
