Congratulations to Dr. Cheryl Barnabe for being named one of Avenue Magazine's Top 40 under 40 in Calgary. Dr. Barnabe received this honour for her efforts in rheumatoid arthritis research, and especially her work with First Nations communities throughout the province. Dr. Brenda Hemmelgarn - New Vice-Chair, AHS Board of Directors

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Brenda Hemmelgarn has been appointed as the Vice-Chair for the newly re-established Alberta Health Services board of directors. Dr. Hemmelgarn and the board are aiming to get started tackling the challenges facing Alberta’s health-care system early next year. For more information, click here.

Dr. Gilles Lauzon - New Zone Clinical Section Chief, Section of Dermatology

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Gilles Lauzon as the new Zone Clinical Section Chief for the Section of Dermatology in the Department of Medicine. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Lauzon to his new role.
Dr. Richard Haber will continue on as a member of the section, we wish him luck in his future endeavors.

Dr. Emma Billington

Dr. Emma Billington

Dr. Emma Billington has joined the Department of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Section of Endocrinology and Metabolism with interests in Osteoporosis, and Metabolic Bone Disease. Prior to this,
Dr. Billington completed her fellowship at the University of Auckland.

Dr. Tasleem Rajan

Dr. Tasleem Rajan

Dr. Tasleem Rajan has joined the Department of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Section of Nephrology, with interests in Renal Transplant. Prior to this, Dr. Rajan completed her Nephrology Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, and Renal Transplant Fellowship at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Jason Tay

Dr. Jason Tay has joined the Department of Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Section of Hematology with interests in Myeloma, Transfusion Medicine, Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transportation, and Clinical Trials.
