Dr. Jane Lemaire - Canadian Medical Association Misericordia Award
Dr. Jane Lemaire was recognized for her outstanding contributions to physician wellness and vitality. Collaborating with sociologist Dr. Jean Wallace, she has conducted extensive research to physician stress, coping behaviour and workplace satisfaction.

Dr. Aleem Bharwani - 2016 Mentor of the Year, Region 1
Congratulations to Dr. Aleem Bharwani who is this year’s recipient of the 2016 Mentor of the Year, Region 1 Award. Dr. Bharwani was recognized for his strategic partnerships with the Cumming School of Medicine, lead for public policy at the Institute of Public Health at the University of Calgary and for his previously held directorships for both the Medical Teaching Unit and the Internal Medicine Residency Mentorship Programme.

Dr. Dan Muruve - Zone Clinical Section Chief, Nephrology
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Dan Muruve as the new Zone Clinical Section Chief for the Section of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Muruve is a Professor of Medicine and a member of the Immunology Research Group in the Snyder Institute for Chronic Disease. He holds a Senior Clinical Scholar Award from the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research and a Canada Research Chair in Personalized Medicine, Inflammation and Kidney Disease.
