In the Division of Endocrinology our faculty treat and deal with all of the disorders considered under the “Endocrinology” rubric including:

  • Diabetes addressing type 1 and type 2 diabetes as well as diabetes secondary to other treatments.
  • Transition Clinics that help guide young adults with diabetes from care at the ACH to adult Endocrinology
  • Transplant clinic consults (diabetes secondary to transplant)
  • Cystic fibrosis and diabetes
  • Lipid disorders ranging from high LDL or high TG; to addressing complicated genetic and acquired dyslipidemia cases
  • Bone Metabolism Clinic addressing osteoporosis, calcium and mineral metabolism as well as genetic and acquired metabolic bone diseases
  • Pituitary disorders including elevations in prolactin, pituitary masses, decreases in pituitary function
  • Neuroendocrinology Clinics diagnosing and treating tumors and syndromes of endocrine origin such as carcinoid tumors, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (insulinoma, gastrinoma, etc.)
  • Antenatal Clinic managing pregnant women with diabetes and other endocrinological disorders such as thyroid disease in pregnancy
  • Reproductive Endocrinology issues including PCOS, hirsutism, fertility and women’s health.
  • Thyroid disorders including diagnosing and treating thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules and disorders of thyroid function (hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism etc.). Several of our clinics also offer in office ultrasound and ultrasound guided biopsy where possible
  • Adrenal disorders such adrenal nodules and abnormalities of adrenal function
  • We also have a Resident Clinic where our specialty trainees see patients with all of the above varied disorders under direct supervision of a staff Endocrinologist

Gulf Canada square is located between 2nd and 3rd street along 9th ave SW. Entrance to the parkade is along 9th ave, just after the large steam locomotive in front of the building. The ramp then takes you to the parkade to the rear of the building. A second entrance to the parkade is along 10th ave.
