NEW INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM DIRECTOR – DR. PAUL GIBSON

Dr. Paul GibsonThe Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Dr. Paul Gibson will be taking on the role of Internal Medicine Residency Program Director as of June 1, 2021.

Dr. Gibson has been a member within the Department for nearly 20 years, and brings extensive leadership expertise to this position. He has previously served in the role of Co-Director and Associate Program Director within the Internal Medicine Residency Program, as well as being previous Head of the Obstetric Medicine group within the Section/Division of General Internal Medicine and the Site Lead for GIM at the Foothills Medical Centre.

The Department would also like to thank Dr. Rahim Kachra and Dr. Stacey Hall for taking on the role of Interim co-Program Directors over the past few months. Dr. Hall will be returning to her role as Associate Program Director starting May 1, 2021. Dr. Kachra will spend the month of May working with Dr. Gibson on transitioning the Program Director role, before moving on to his leadership role in reforming the UofC Undergraduate Medical Education curriculum.
