DOM Clinical Analytics Grant

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Analytics Grant today entitled “DOM Clinical Analytics Grant” which is an annual award of up to CAD $50,000 to support the development of clinically relevant process and outcome measures within the Department of Medicine.
 
The Project should align with the DOM Health Analytics Working Group (HAWG), statement of purpose “To promote and develop clinical outcome, process and structure measures for important patient populations that the department is accountable for in whole or in part. Clinical measures created by the HAWG will identify opportunities for clinicians and AHS operational leaders to improve patient care, reduce cost and resource use, and improve patient experience”.
 
Completed packages are to be received electronically by the DOM Research Office (dom.research@ucalgary.ca) on or before Nov 19, 2018 with decisions rendered by January 18, 2019.

Dr. Régine Mydlarski – New Section Chief, Dermatology

Dr. Regine MydlarskiThe Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. P. Régine Mydlarski as the new Section Chief of Dermatology, effective September 1, 2018.
 
Dr. Mydlarski is currently an Associate Professor in the Section of Dermatology and the Director for the Translational Research Program in Dermatology, Immunodermatology Clinic, and Transplant Dermatology Clinic. She will remain in these roles in addition to taking on the role of Section Chief.

Dr. Jayna Holroyd-Leduc – New Deputy Department Head, Academic

Dr. Jayna Holroyd-LeducThe Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jayna Holroyd-Leduc as the new Deputy Department Head-Academic, effective July 1, 2018. This newly created leadership position will focus on enhancing the academic mandate within the Department, as it relates to the Cumming School of Medicine and Alberta Health Services. In this new role, Dr. Holroyd-Leduc will work closely with Dr. Richard Leigh and Dr. Jeffrey Schaefer, who remains as the Deputy Department Head-Clinical.
