Dr. Chandra Thomas – Medical Leader, Systems Integration
The Department of Medicine (DoM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Chandra Thomas as the Medical Leader, Systems Integration, Calgary Zone effective January 1, 2019.
Dr. Thomas completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Calgary in 2004, followed by a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Calgary in 2006. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Cumming School of Medicine and has most recently been the Interim Medical Lead for Quality and Safety for AHS.
In this role, Dr. Thomas will work with leaders and physicians in primary care, specialty areas, acute and community settings to develop strategies and service delivery models that will enhance system integration between Acute and Community Care, and Primary Care and Specialists.
We would like to thank Dr. Remo Panaccione for his service and commitment to this position over the last two years.

Brennan Leslie – Department Farewell
Brennan Leslie will be leaving his position with the Internal Medicine Residency Program to pursue another opportunity as a Lead within the Department of Forms, Strategy & Management within Alberta Health Services.

Dr. Régine Mydlarski – New Section Chief, Dermatology
The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. P. Régine Mydlarski as the new Section Chief of Dermatology, effective September 1, 2018.
Dr. Mydlarski is currently an Associate Professor in the Section of Dermatology and the Director for the Translational Research Program in Dermatology, Immunodermatology Clinic, and Transplant Dermatology Clinic. She will remain in these roles in addition to taking on the role of Section Chief.
